Fashion

In Co-Design with Semih Berrak [Semik] we have created fashion items that bring my art, my paintings to life.

Let the animal wait for you at home or let it accompany you all day long. Art becomes a new way to experience life.

About

I'm Lucia Rafanelli,
I have a very typical Italian name but
I come from a very atypical Italian city: Livorno.

I started drawing and painting when I was only three years old, and from that moment I have never stopped.

In the mean time I obtained a degree in political science, at that time I still believed that I could have some chance to do, let's say, a normal job and turn into a serious person....I abandoned that idea pretty quickly.

I always have been distracted and constantly inspired from life and all the things it brings with it. I look around me with an artistic prospective, taking pictures, framing details with my eyes. Doesn't matter which surface I use to express myself (canvas ,wall, fabric, wood) everything good enough to be used to spread the powerful energy of creativity.

Art

Fly  (Mosca)

Mostly insects have four wings, but flies have two.

They can fly up and down, side to side, and even backwards.

I consider my self a civilized animal.

As an animal I experience the essence of life through senses:

I'm what I see,

I am what I hear,

I am what I smell,

I am what I touch.

I use my mind an my hands to shape my feelings.

Flamingo (Fenicottero)

The word “Flamingo “comes from the Spanish word “flamenco” which came from earlier Latin word ”flamma” meaning flame or fire.

Animals in particular inspired me a lot:

they represent the best example of peaceful coexistence between strong personalities.

They incase the essence of free expression of themselves and loyalty.

I hope one day to be a good inspiration even for them: I would not be suprised to see a Tiger  wearing a t-shirt with my face printed on it!

Tiger (Tigre)

The roar of Bengal tiger can carry for over 2 km at night.

Elephant (Elefante)

The elephant's trunk is able to sense the size, shape and temperature of an object.

Sardine (Sardina)

They live and move together in big groups called “schools”  to protect themselves from attacks by predators.

WHALE (Balena)

Whales love to sing: they use this as a way to communicate and also just for fun.

After a period of time they get bored of the same whale song and begin to sing a

different tune.

Ant (Formica)

Ants are the longest living of all insects, living up to 30 years.

Everything comes out of love for free expression of human being.

CROCODILE (Coccodrillo)

The first crocodile appeared 240 million years ago, at the same time with dinosaurs (to which they are related), and less than 1m (3ft) in length and ran on two feet!
